Buyers leaving cities for homes in commuter areas
UK home sales for 2020 are already close to eclipsing the total for the whole of last year according to an article in Homes and Property.
The number of homes sold in the UK so far this year has almost caught up with the number of sales agreed in the whole of 2019 – despite the total halt brought to the property market for seven weeks of lockdown.
Whereas in recent years a surge in sales has been led by London buyers, most of the home buying hotspots for 2020 are in commutable towns and villages.
Not only is Ipswich surrounded by beautiful countryside and stunning coastlines, it is also under one-hour to London Liverpool Street by train, making the town a popular choice for commuters and post-lockdown buyers.
